Description
These Gilgit Purple Regular landrace seeds were specially selected from prime phenotypes at source in Pakistani-administered Gilgit, Baltistan, in the disputed Kashmir region, by ethnobotanical researcher Landrace Warden. The city of Gilgit lies near the confluence of The Gilgit and Hunza rivers and is situated in the Karakoram mountain range.
Gilgit Purple produces plants that are broad-leaved indica variants with a marked tendency to display purple colours during the flowering stage. These landrace seeds are best grown outdoors where they display marked resistance to heat, cold, drought and windy conditions. They flower relatively quickly in just 8 – 9 weeks.
These purple plants have a dominant scent of fuel, with notes of lime, passion fruit, berries, grapes and pine. The flavour is primarily of melon with fuel and pine notes. The effect is upbeat and cerebral with a lasting social and creative feeling.
N.B. Landrace Warden collection packs have been created in order to preserve Landrace and Heirloom Genetics, protect biodiversity, empower indigenous cultivation groups, and give back to the the superintendents of ancestral cannabis origin.
