Germinating your seeds

Germination is the process of a seed starting to grow. It is a critical step in the cannabis growing process. By following these steps, you can increase your chances of successfully germinating your cannabis seeds.

Here are the steps on how to germinate cannabis seeds:

Choose the right seeds. When choosing cannabis seeds, it is important to select seeds from a reputable breeder. The seeds should be fresh and viable.
Prepare the germination medium. There are two main ways to germinate cannabis seeds: in water or in a damp paper towel.

Water germination: Fill a glass or bowl with lukewarm water. Place the seeds in the water and let them soak for 24-48 hours. The seeds will begin to swell and crack open. Once the seeds have cracked open, gently remove them from the water and plant them in soil.

Paper towel germination: Fold a paper towel in half and place it in a shallow dish. Moisten the paper towel with lukewarm water. Place the seeds on the paper towel and fold the paper towel over the seeds. Place the dish in a warm, dark place. The seeds will begin to sprout within 24-48 hours.
Plant the germinated seeds. Once the seeds have sprouted, they are ready to be planted in soil. Fill a small pot with high-quality potting soil. Make a small hole in the soil and gently place the seedling in the hole. Cover the seedling with soil and water it thoroughly.

Provide the seedlings with light and water. The seedlings need plenty of light and water to grow. Place the seedlings in a sunny spot and water them regularly.

Fertilize the seedlings. Once the seedlings have developed their first set of true leaves, they can be fertilized. Use a balanced fertilizer and follow the directions on the label.

Transplant the seedlings. Once the seedlings have grown to about 6 inches tall, they can be transplanted into larger pots. Choose pots that are at least 1 gallon in size.
